Set 1
Initiating the Story Hour, Jim’s grandchildren performed the silly ‘Grammarian’s cheer’ that Grandpa Jim had created for them, followed by stories from Mark Weston, Ralph Klapis, and Perry Cook. Check out the JimJam videos of these stories, too!

The stories continued, with Allen DeCamp, Genevieve Rothwell, Larry Bailey, Tom Mardikes and Brad Frohock.

Set 3
Paul Rudy and Tom Mardikes led a discussion asking what a fitting legacy for Jim might be. Consensus focused on an endowed scholarship in Jim’s name (which has since been launched). Closing remarks were made by Kriss’s sister, Cheri Black.
Next, we adjourned for a special treat: a UMKC Conservatory Tour and Sound Mandala project demo.

Later, back at the Rudmans’, the family relaxed and took turns trying to play Jim’s trumpet.
